meet Jamie

Wisconsin native, Carolina living. World explorer, and hoarder of memories…who genuinely loves people. We are all so different and yet so alike all at once, it downright fascinates me. Also! I have a superpower: I can find beauty in the strangest of places. 

My ‘why’:

Giving is one of my top love languages. I was only in middle school when I discovered the immense gift that photo-taking could be. The way people would light up to see a special moment captured, the way I could see their beam of confidence when they truly saw their beauty reflected, and the weighty importance of these images through life’s changes and goodbyes.

My obsession with photos has also been deeply personal. At some point it dawned on me how many of my own childhood memories were tied to the few photos we had. I felt the value in the way a single photo somehow holds an abundance of memories even beyond the frame and transports you back in time. Picture taking, in my own life, became like a coded, beloved diary.

Slowly, over many years, and all in the name of “play”, my passion transformed into my career. The first wedding I ever shot was when I was 19 years old for a friend, and I’ve shot hundreds of weddings since.

The joy it brings me to deliver treasured images is unmatched. But photography has given me quite the gift as well. I never could’ve imagined how much this creative outlet would feed my soul or that it would introduce me to countless meaningful relationships and connections.

What I want you to know:

Being invited to witness and capture your essence, your most precious relationships, your milestones and new chapters, is an honor that I do not take lightly. This isn’t a clock in/clock out kind of job, it’s a beautiful transaction full of trust, intentionality & creativity that (not to be dramatic but..) builds your legacy.

Many talented photographers can deliver beautiful photos, but I aim to also offer an experience that ignites your love, builds your confidence, and evokes a sense of play and creativity. I like to keep the business stuff professional, while also getting to really know you and yours, this way we can capture you at your best and your truest, and all the moments both planned and happily unplanned.

We all want to look our best in photos, but we also want to look like and feel like ourselves.

We want a way to look back and always remember things as they were, in the purest light.

That's what we're shooting for.
